Doesn’t seem like it’s been that long, but it’s been a year since my little furry buddy had to check out. Still miss him from time to time … was such a good cat! Found this pic of tiger and my nephew nick taken about 2 years ago in the upstairs bedroom of the little farm house my sister was renting. Really bored here of late. I have a few things to do … taxes, resume fixing, even some new video games to play. Don’t even feel like looking at them though. Need to get out and do something … was planning on a movie this weekend, but there’s nothing worthy of watching at the theatres as far as I can tell. What’s a out of University, single guy to do in the big city without being able to drink, eat tasty food, or shop? lol. Not much, that’s what! Well, it’s been a difficult couple of days for myself and my faithful furry companion of 15 and a half years. Tuesday evening I went to pick up Tiger from the vet after his day long observation, exam, and xray. As it turns out, poor little kitty had a tumour growing in one of his lungs and the other lung had started to fill up with fluid - probably related to the tumour. His bones had really become frail and decalcified also. Doctor said it’s most likely cancer of some kind and there’s really nothing we can do about it. Read More »
Feeling a bit better mentally today and yesterday. No real reason .. just sick of being depressed. lol. Been looking for some part-time data-entry type jobs … seems to be a few out there, some of which don’t require strong french skills. Pay is horrid, but better than just financial assistance alone. So I’m going to retool a resume that is better suited to that kind of job and then send it out to a few places. Goal is to find something that is half days, or just a couple says a week. Enough to supplement my income but not tire me out totally. If it goes ok, I’ll start looking for a full time job that is closer to my skill set. Read More »
LoL. I know I shouldn’t make light of the situation because it’s still serious, but that is essentially a fact. Finally got the poor little kitty into the Vet last night. During the examination, the doctor quickly found a large mass in or around Tiger’s intestine. Was easier to notice this time because he had loft more weight, especially in his tummy area. She was pretty convinced at the time that it was a tumour because it was so hard and irregular … not really like a poo. I wasn’t prepared to put the little guy through surgery at his age (15yrs) and told the Vet as much. Luckily for me, she was curious enough about what was going on (after 3 visits already) that she offered to do an xray for free to see what was going on. Xrays revealed that he is literally full up with really hard poo-poos, and it’s backed up in such a way that it’s unlikely to come out on it’s own. Poor cat! Read More »
